In a bold (and almost-naked) display of determination, community spirit, and thick winter skin, on Saturday, December 07, 2024 an enthusiastic runner (me) took to the streets of Chicago in nothing but a speedo, raising an impressive $2,300 for charity. This eye-catching event (and derrier) not only turned heads as masses ran scantily clad throughout the streets of North Halsted, but it also inspired generous donors to support the cause. The annual Santa Speedo Run in Chicago showcases the power of creativity (and incident exposure) in fundraising.
Uniting for a great community cause while promoting fitness and fun in the city’s vibrant atmosphere, this unforgettable 1-mile city run serves as a reminder that every block can make a difference. Thank you to my 2024 donors who helped me raise money for the Center on Halsted this year. The success of this year’s fundraising would not have been possible without your generous, heartfelt financial support and encouragement. I was happy to run in this event again for a second year.
